Educators are bringing together computing and the liberal arts and sciences to create new courses with a common theme of visual and computational creativity. Digitized visual representations of information are becoming ubiquitous and students need to know how to analyze and manipulate them effectively.
The College of Charleston is hosting a conference on November 16-17, 2007 for college educators to discover and discuss new ways to combine computing and the liberal arts. The conference will feature keynote speakers who will address the synthesis of computer science and culture. The conference will offer papers on pedagogy, experience, new ideas, and theory, and host workshops that highlight existing or potential classroom experiences.
