A Taste of Toastmasters

Toastmasters in the Charleston area are recruiting new members to join their public speaking organization.

A "Taste of Toastmasters" is being held by the College of Charleston Toastmasters. The parent organization, Toastmasters International, is an association devoted to helping people improve their public speaking and leadership skills through a very supportive and positive learning environment.

A "Taste of Toastmasters" demonstration meeting is being hosted by The College of Charleston and the public is invited. It will be held 12:30-1PM on Thursday Sept 2 in the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship, 9 Liberty Street. Light refreshments will ber available before and after.

Whether you are a professional, student, stay-at-home parent or retiree, Toastmasters may help you. Many members have lost their fear of public speaking and have learned additional skills to help them in their jobs and careers. They become better listeners. They learn to lead teams and conduct meetings. They learn to give and receive constructive, helpful evaluations. And whatever skill level they have initially, Toastmasters enhances them. The cost is minimal and considered by many to be among the best educational values available.
