The USES project is an ongoing, multidisciplinary study to assess and model the impacts of urban development on small, high salinity estuaries on the southeast coast of the United States. This web site contains information on what estuaries are, why they are important and the threats they are faced with as well as information regarding the findings from USES research. There are also recommendations for concerned citizens and policy makers for changes that can be made in order to lessen the impacts of development in order to maintain the health of our coastal resources.
